This weekend, the Calgary Stampeders and Toronto Argonauts face off at the 105th Grey Cup.
On Wednesday, Mayors Naheed Nenshi and John Tory announced the terms of their wager on Sunday’s game:
– The losing mayor contributes $5 for every point scored by the winning team to a food agency in the winning mayor’s city. Tory selected the Daily Bread Food Bank and Nenshi selected the Calgary Food Bank.
– The losing mayor sends the winning mayor a selection of local craft beer.
– The losing mayor dons the winning team’s jersey and reads a poem (written or selected by the winning mayor) at their next city council meeting.
