Signal Toronto is looking to fill a number of part-time sales positions this spring. These are primarily commission-based and mobile (i.e. there is no office) with some paid work for outreach.

The primary function of the roles is to sell various types of online advertising content. Sales associates will be given a media kit to use when communicating with potential clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Outreach, including written and in-person communication to stakeholder groups and potential advertisers regarding opportunities.
  • Developing advertising plans, including creative sponsored-content.
  • Negotiating pricing for packages.

Signal Toronto is an online independent news site reporting on politics and policies at Toronto City Hall. Those interested should look at the website (signaltoronto.com) and consider possibilities for creative sponsored content. Candidates should bring some interest in digital journalism, innovation, and city building.
